This project involved a full upgrade of the hospital’s medium-voltage electrical infrastructure to support the installation of new 3MW standby generators. The scope included the design and implementation of underground duct banks, medium and low-voltage power cabling, control wiring, and related systems.
Upgraded components included medium voltage switchgear, automatic transfer switches (ATSs), pad-mounted transformers, distribution switchboards, panelboards, and control systems. The engineering team worked closely with stakeholders to develop phased implementation strategies that maintained continuous hospital operations and ensured critical backup power throughout the transition from the legacy system.
